- On the afternoon of May 20, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a joint meeting to plan the content to be submitted to the regular mid-year meeting of the Provincial People's Council in 2024. Comrade Doan Thi Hau, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting were comrade Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of a number of relevant departments and branches.
At the meeting, delegates listened to and commented on the draft notice of the expected content to be presented at the meeting; progress of implementation of tasks, draft reports, and submissions assigned to departments and branches for consultation at the meeting. The meeting is expected to take place over 2 days (including preparatory sessions) on July 9 and 10, 2024.
At the meeting, leaders of departments, branches, and committees of the Provincial People's Council reported on the progress of implementing the draft reports and draft resolutions expected to be submitted at the regular mid-year session; considered the proposal to remove some contents from the content submitted at the session, and at the same time added 10 contents to be submitted at the session such as: The submission of the Provincial People's Committee and the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on adjusting the Medium-term Public Investment Plan of the State budget for the period 2021-2025; adjusting the development investment capital plan to implement the National Target Programs for the period 2021-2025; the capital plan to implement the National Target Programs in 2024 and previous years extended to implementation and disbursement in 2024; The submission of the Provincial People's Committee and the draft Resolution of the Provincial People's Council deciding on measures to ensure the implementation of democracy at the grassroots level in Lang Son province; Regulations on supporting school milk for preschool children and primary school students at educational institutions in the province for the period 2024-2030; regulations on criteria for establishment and number of members of the Security and Order Protection Team; support regime for participants in the Security and Order Protection Team; expenditure levels for forces participating in security and order protection at grassroots levels in the province...
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that according to the planned program, the Provincial People's Committee and related sectors prepared 28 contents. Up to now, the specialized agencies of the Provincial People's Committee have been actively preparing the contents.
He requested the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office to pay attention to inviting the Provincial People's Council committees to participate in the thematic meetings of the People's Committee to promptly grasp the progress of content preparation for the work of reviewing the reports submitted by the People's Committee at the meetings. The departments and branches assigned to prepare the content of the reports submitted to the meetings should focus on reviewing the titles of the submissions and reports, paying attention to ensuring the quality of the submitted documents and the time according to regulations.
Concluding the meeting, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct specialized agencies to promptly submit incomplete contents; at the same time, closely coordinate with the Provincial People's Council committees in transferring documents for appraisal according to the process. The Provincial People's Committee Office and the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and Provincial People's Council coordinate in preparing documents for organizing meetings with voters; coordinate with relevant agencies in synthesizing the results of handling voters' petitions and opinions of delegates on groups of issues proposed for questioning at the session.
