Standing Committee of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council convenes first meeting after reorganization

On June 30, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council convened the first session of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, term 2021-2026. The session took place in 1 session, from 2:00 p.m. on July 1, at the Ho Chi Minh City Command Hall, No. 291 Cach Mang Thang Tam Street, Hoa Hung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council announced Resolution No. 202/2025/QH15 of the National Assembly on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units; and announced the number of People's Council delegates after the arrangement.

At the same time, announce the Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee on appointing personnel to hold the positions of Chairman, Vice Chairman, and Heads of Committees of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council.

The HCMC People's Council will also consider and approve the proposal on the establishment, approval of the number and list of Deputy Heads and members of the 4 Committees of the HCMC People's Council; establishment of the Office of the HCMC National Assembly Delegation - HCMC People's Council; and organization of the regular session of the HCMC People's Council in 2025.

At the meeting, the HCMC People's Council also considered and approved the proposal to establish specialized agencies under the HCMC People's Committee.
