Fishing boat capsized by waves, one fisherman missing.

QTO - The Gianh Port Border Guard Station reported on the afternoon of March 14th that they had coordinated with Border Guard Squadron 1 to rescue one fisherman whose fishing boat sank after being hit by waves while on its way to the harbor. Another fisherman remains missing.

The BP 07-07-04 vessel of Border Guard Squadron 1 is searching for the missing fisherman.

Specifically, at 2 PM on March 14th, Ms. Hoang Thi Phuong, residing in Thanh Khe village, Bac Trach commune, Quang Tri province, reported to the Gianh Port Border Guard Station that her family's fishing boat (under 6 meters), used for net fishing by her husband, Mr. Le Van Tu (born in 1980), and Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia (born in 1975), both residing in Thanh Khe village, Bac Trach commune, was unfortunately sunk by waves when it reached buoy number 2. She requested assistance.

Upon receiving the report, the Gianh Port Border Guard Station, in coordination with the BP 07-07-04 vessel of Border Guard Squadron 1 and 7 officers, promptly searched for and rescued fisherman Nguyen Trong Nghia.

The Provincial Border Guard Command directed the Gianh Port Border Guard Station and the Ly Hoa Border Guard Station to deploy forces to observe the shorelines on both sides of the Gianh estuary and coordinate with the ships of Border Guard Squadron 1 to urgently search for the missing fisherman Le Van Tu.
