Despite the upward movement in the morning session of December 12th, the gains were very limited. Entering the afternoon session, after unsuccessful attempts to rise, the market cooled down and gradually retreated into negative territory.
Given these developments, many stock groups fell. The gains were concentrated in individual stocks, mostly in the mid- and small-cap groups.

Rong Viet Securities (VDSC) believes that the supporting capital flow remains limited and cautious. The market is expected to be in a testing phase in the next trading session and may correct to continue testing the support level at 1,260 – 1,265 points. If capital continues to support at this level, the market still has the potential to recover and extend its upward trend.
"Investors need to observe supply and demand developments to assess the market's state, and consider taking profits on stocks that have risen rapidly to resistance levels when the market recovers," VDSC recommends.
Meanwhile, VCBS Securities Company believes the market has not yet shown signs of improvement. Investors should take advantage of intraday fluctuations to invest in stocks at favorable prices with the goal of averaging down their cost basis.
