The Ministry of Health announced that it has received 10 tons of Vi-Chlorine and 10 tons of Chloramine B, chemicals used to disinfect water and the environment and prevent epidemics, donated by the Vietnam Chemical Group to support localities in overcoming the consequences of floods in the Central and Central Highlands regions.
Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Lien Huong said the need for chemicals to treat the environment and control epidemics after floods is urgent and more resources are needed to support localities in overcoming the consequences of storms and floods. The Ministry of Health acknowledged the timely and responsible support of the Vietnam Chemical Group in the context that many localities are suffering heavy damage due to natural disasters.
The Department of Disease Prevention is the focal point to receive and coordinate with localities based on proposals to distribute promptly and provide instructions for proper and effective use.
In recent days, the Ministry of Health has deployed activities to support localities in the Central and Central Highlands regions to overcome the consequences of storms and floods.
At the same time, key working groups of the preventive medicine and medical examination and treatment system in units under the Ministry of Health have carried out many accompanying activities to support localities in the Central and Central Highlands regions./.
