Receiving Vietnamese citizens handed over by Cambodia.

On April 29th, at the Tinh Bien International Border Gate, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command, in coordination with relevant agencies, received 33 Vietnamese citizens who were repatriated by Cambodia.

The suspect, who was wanted for intentional infliction of bodily harm, has been arrested.

These are Vietnamese citizens from various localities who illegally crossed the border into Cambodia via different routes and at different times. According to the Cambodian General Department of Immigration, these citizens were involved in several illegal activities and were subsequently arrested and deported back to Vietnam through diplomatic channels.

During this operation, the An Giang Provincial Border Guard received and apprehended a wanted suspect from the Vietnamese police. Through questioning, the suspect identified himself as Trinh Quang Khai, born in 1994, residing in Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City. Khai is a suspect in an intentional assault case who fled to Cambodia in 2022. The An Giang Border Guard is coordinating with relevant authorities to investigate and hand over Khai for legal processing.

The remaining citizens were assisted by authorities in coordination with the localities where they were repatriated, completing the necessary legal procedures and being brought back to their respective localities.
