According to the Ministry of Construction , after the Road Law and the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety came into effect, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha directed relevant ministries, branches and People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to conduct a general review, resolve and handle inadequacies in the system of traffic signs and lights, licensing, arrangement of stops, parking, vehicle storage, etc. causing traffic conflicts.

Through the synthesis of the implementation results reports sent by agencies and units, it is shown that nationwide there are 10,520 sign locations with different levels of inadequacies, 8,996 signs (86%) have been fixed, affecting traffic participants and traffic safety; the remaining 1,524 signs (14%) are not inadequacies, but need some adjustment solutions to increase efficiency (many cases reflect correct and sufficient signs, but are installed on poles, need to invest in gantry brackets to hang, install signs on gantry brackets for easier observation by traffic vehicles), will continue to be supplemented and fixed after receiving additional State budget and other resources to implement in 2025 or included in the road infrastructure maintenance plan implemented in 2026.
In the coming time, the Ministry of Construction will continue to direct road management agencies and units to handle existing signs or signs that are limited in providing information to road users; identifying this as a regular and continuous task that must be carried out to ensure safe and smooth road traffic order and safety.
