● January 1997 – October 1998:

Head of the Organization - Administration - General Affairs Department, Level II Inspector, Ha Nam Provincial Inspectorate.

● October 1998 – December 2000:

Chief Inspector, Ha Nam Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission.

● December 2000 – April 2004:

Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission of Ha Nam Province.

● May 2004 – February 2006:

Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Member of the Party Group, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council of Ha Nam Province.

● July 29, 2024:

● 4-11-2025:

The Politburo assigned and appointed him to participate in the Secretariat of the 13th Party Congress and designated him to participate in the Executive Committee and Standing Committee, holding the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front and central mass organizations.

● 7-11-2025:

The 5th Conference of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, unanimously agreed to nominate the comrade to hold the position of Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 10th term, for the 2024-2029 term.

● January 22, 2026:

At the 14th National Congress of the Party, he was elected to the Central Committee of the Party.

● January 23, 2026:

At the first meeting of the 14th Central Committee of the Party, he was elected to the Politburo.

● May 13, 2026:

The first meeting of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front unanimously agreed to nominate a comrade to hold the position of Chairman of the 11th Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the term 2026-2031.
