The Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized a journey to the roots titled "Proud of Skilled Mass Mobilization Cadres".

On December 17th, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee organized a "Journey to the Source" for outstanding individuals in the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement at the city level in 2025.

The delegation was led by Mr. Ta Quoc Trung, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and included more than 200 outstanding mass mobilization officials.

The journey took place from December 17th to 19th in the provinces of Ca Mau, Can Tho City, and Dong Thap, with a series of activities aimed at educating about traditions, honoring history, and caring for social welfare.

This was also the first trip back to the roots organized after the merger of administrative units, demonstrating the spirit of connection and sharing between Ho Chi Minh City and localities in the Mekong Delta region.

On the first day of their trip to Ca Mau province, the delegation visited and offered flowers and incense at the memorial temple of President Ho Chi Minh.

In a solemn atmosphere, the delegates expressed their profound gratitude for the immense contributions of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, while also recalling the glorious revolutionary traditions of the nation, thereby reminding each cadre of mass mobilization work to continue to train, set an example, and wholeheartedly serve the people.

On the same day, the delegation organized social welfare activities in An Trach commune, Ca Mau province.

Here, the delegation presented 200 national flags to the people and displayed them along several roads and at the commune's headquarters; donated 3 televisions to primary schools; and gave 50 gifts to policy beneficiary families and people in difficult circumstances. In addition, the program also distributed 50 sets of traditional Vietnamese dresses (áo dài) and provided cash support to teachers in difficult circumstances; and awarded 65 scholarships to outstanding students who overcame difficulties, each worth 1 million VND.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Ta Quoc Trung said that the "Proud of the skillful mass mobilization cadres of Ho Chi Minh City" journey to the roots in 2025 is not only an opportunity to express gratitude and educate about traditions, but also clearly demonstrates the motto "Leaving a lasting impression on the people, cherishing their presence, and earning their trust."

Each gift given represents the affection, responsibility, and solidarity of the Party Committee, government, and people of Ho Chi Minh City towards their compatriots in other localities.

The journey back to the roots continued with many meaningful activities in Can Tho and Dong Thap provinces, contributing to spreading the spirit of skillful mass mobilization, strengthening the close relationship between mass mobilization officials of Ho Chi Minh City and the grassroots, thereby creating momentum for the effective implementation of mass mobilization work in the new period.
