Le Viet Hung (born in 1987, residing at 27 Luong Van Chi Street, Hoang Van Thu Ward, Lang Son City, Lang Son Province) is a prominent individual on the TikTok platform with videos mainly related to traffic and conversations with traffic police at checkpoints in Hanoi and other areas.
With acts such as filming and taking photos of police officers on duty, Hung attracted a large number of followers on TikTok and created debates about personal freedom and the power of authorities.
Most recently, at around 3:00 p.m. on April 7, on the Lang Son - Bac Giang highway, Le Viet Hung was asked by traffic police to stop his car for inspection because his car did not have an inspection sticker, violating traffic regulations.
In the 6-minute video recorded by Le Viet Hung and posted on social media, this person shows an uncooperative and disrespectful attitude towards the authorities.
Specifically, when asked to present the required documents as prescribed such as vehicle registration, inspection certificate, compulsory civil liability insurance, and driver's license, Hung not only refused to cooperate but also challenged the traffic police and the law.
In addition, this TikToker continuously obstructed the inspection process and made it difficult for the police to perform their duties.
The video, after being released on social media, quickly attracted the attention of the online community. Most comments condemned Hung's disrespectful behavior towards the authorities and his violation of traffic regulations.
There are also many people who believe that Hung's actions are intentionally causing trouble and disrespecting the law, which not only causes disruption in the execution of official duties but can also create a wrong model for his followers.
As reported by VTC News, on the evening of May 7, Lang Son Provincial Police coordinated with professional units to arrest Le Viet Hung to investigate the act of "Extortion of property".
On the same day, authorities executed a search warrant at Le Viet Hung's house and seized a car and many other documents to serve the investigation.
Previously, the Criminal Police Department, Hanoi Police also issued a notice requesting people and police officers to provide information and videos recording Le Viet Hung's behavior of obstructing and causing disturbances at traffic police checkpoints, from January 1, 2024 to present.
