When developing the project, producer Nhat Trung was asked to rewrite the entire script to make it closer to the real story that happened in 1987. However, he thought the case was too tragic, so he chose a more humane approach, only taking inspiration from key details to build the story.
Finding the Body: Headless Ghost (released on April 18), directed by Bui Van Hai, revolves around the story of Tien (played by Tien Luat), a corpse collector who lives with his mentally ill mother (People's Artist Hong Van) and Thanh (Ngo Kien Huy), an ambulance driver.
