Thai Nguyen: Sparkling "Full Moon Festival - Lanterns light up dreams"

On the evening of October 4, Thai Nguyen province organized the "Full Moon Festival - Lanterns lighting up dreams" in 2025 with meaningful programs taking place simultaneously in 3 areas: Vo Nguyen Giap Square (Phan Dinh Phung ward), Van Xuan Square (Van Xuan ward) and Cultural House Square (Bac Kan ward).

This year's "Lanterns lighting up dreams" program is especially aimed at 248 communes in border areas, demonstrating the sharing and spirit of "all for beloved children" of the youth across the country. The movement, launched by the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers from 2021 to present, has become a traditional activity, bringing "Mid-Autumn Festival for children" to all parts of the country, from the plains, mountainous areas to the border and islands. This year's Mid-Autumn Festival alone, the Central Youth Union and the Central Council of Young Pioneers have sent 7 million lanterns to children across the country.

On the same day, the National Assembly delegation and leaders of Thai Nguyen province offered incense to commemorate 60 martyrs of Youth Volunteer Force Company 915, Team 91 Bac Thai at the 915 National Historical Site, Gia Sang Ward.

During the festival, the provincial leaders presented 50 bicycles and 10 gifts to disadvantaged students in the southern communes and wards of the province, contributing to encouraging them to excel in their studies. Samsung Electronics Vietnam Thai Nguyen Co., Ltd. also presented a plaque symbolizing the total resources to support Thai Nguyen province in organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2025 worth 650 million VND.

The Organizing Committee also presented 20 bicycles and 41 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to poor children who have overcome difficulties.

At the Programs, the Organizing Committee of the Mid-Autumn Festival activities in Thai Nguyen province in 2025 announced the results of the Mid-Autumn Festival lantern parade competition in regions 2 and 3. Accordingly, the first prize belonged to the lantern model of Tan Khanh commune and Bac Kan ward.
“Thai Nguyen - Sparkling Full Moon Festival Night” is the first Mid-Autumn Festival program after the province's unification. In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the festival with special art performances and unique lamp model performances, Thai Nguyen people are not only proud of the innovations and developments of their homeland, but also show solidarity to preserve and promote the fine traditional cultural values ​​of the ethnic groups, for a happy and prosperous Thai Nguyen.
