News, forecast of coffee prices tomorrow 7/31/2025

In the context of the world market being affected by the US import tax policy and weather developments in Brazil, coffee prices on July 31, 2025 are forecasted to continue to maintain a slight upward trend, both domestically and internationally.

Domestic coffee price forecast on July 31, 2025

Following the upward trend in recent days, domestic coffee prices tomorrow, July 31, 2025, are forecast to continue to rise or remain high, due to the impact of the international situation and the hoarding mentality of businesses.

Specifically, coffee prices on July 31, 2025 in the Central Highlands provinces and the Southern region may increase slightly by VND200-400/kg, fluctuating between VND98,200-98,500/kg, depending on the locality. This is the highest price since the beginning of the year, reflecting concerns about supply disruptions due to the US import tax policy on Brazilian coffee.

In addition, unfavorable weather conditions in Brazil – the world’s largest coffee exporter – also increased coffee prices in Vietnam as the market reacted to global trends.

World Coffee Price Forecast July 31, 2025

Coffee prices on July 31, 2025 on the world market are expected to continue to maintain a slight increase or stabilize at a high level in the context that the market is still closely monitoring the US tax policy on Brazilian coffee.

According to Reuters, international traders are temporarily suspending exports pending a final decision on the 50% tariff expected to be applied from August 1. Although the US Secretary of Commerce recently confirmed that non-domestic products such as coffee could be exempted from the tariff, there has been no official announcement, causing speculators to remain cautious.

Meanwhile, ICE arabica inventories have fallen to a 3.5-month low, while robusta inventories have hit a one-year high. This is likely to support arabica prices in the short term, while robusta prices may struggle due to more abundant supplies.

General future trends

In the medium term, the trend of coffee prices on July 31, 2025 and the following days is still inclined towards an upward trend, due to the impact of a number of factors:

US tax policy: If Brazilian coffee is not exempted from tax, global coffee prices will come under strong upward pressure due to disrupted supply.

Brazil harvest pace: While the 2025-2026 harvest is gradually picking up, it is still below last year in some areas, raising concerns about long-term supply.

US trade strategy: Washington's push to sign bilateral trade agreements will benefit exporting countries such as Vietnam, Ghana, Indonesia, etc., thereby supporting stable coffee prices at higher levels.

Overall, the coffee market is in a state of supply-demand balance, with the trend tilted towards the upside due to political and trade uncertainties. Investors and businesses should closely monitor the final decision of the US in early August to adjust their trading strategies accordingly.
