At the scientific conference with the theme "Promoting the role of Vietnamese youth in the cause of national renewal under the light of Ho Chi Minh's thought" organized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Youth Union in coordination with the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and the Truth National Political Publishing House, Can Tho Branch, recently, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung - Director of the Academy of Politics, Region II, commented that during his lifetime, President Ho Chi Minh always highly appreciated the position and role of youth in the revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation. He always encouraged and motivated youth to volunteer to go to the most difficult and arduous places, wherever others did little, youth volunteers would do well. Imbued with his thought, since its inception, in every revolutionary period, our Party has always promoted the role of Vietnamese youth in carrying out the historical mission of the working class and the entire nation.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, after nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation process initiated and led by the Party, our country has achieved many important and historical achievements, especially building a new generation of young people with both morality and personality, knowledge, health, dynamic thinking and a spirit of innovation and creativity.

“Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, Vietnamese youth have promoted tradition and worthily continued the revolutionary cause of the Party. The majority of youth are ready to fight to protect what is right, just and fair, and condemn the bad and evil. They regularly organize many volunteer activities such as activities towards the sea, islands and borders to share and help people in difficulty, participate in building new rural areas, participate in supporting disease prevention, rescue, protecting social order and safety, protecting the Fatherland... Youth take the lead in exciting emulation movements such as: Youth starting a business, Youth protecting the country, Youth volunteering... contributing to building the homeland and country to become increasingly rich, civilized, cultured and heroic", Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quoc Dung expressed.

According to Vo Tuan Thong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, with the spirit of “Aspiration - Pioneer - Solidarity - Courage - Creativity”, Vietnamese youth are engaging and contributing in many fields. However, in order for the youth force to truly play a central and pioneering role in the innovation process, we need to continue to innovate thinking, policies and actions in a synchronous, comprehensive and profound manner.

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Pham Thi Cam Le - an officer of the Truth National Political Publishing House Branch in Can Tho shared: In order to further spread Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on youth in the current period, it is necessary to organize activities to combine building a reading culture with the movement of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's thoughts, morality and style. In order for Ho Chi Minh's thoughts on youth to be imbued in today's youth generation, it is necessary to have programs and activities for young people to easily access books about President Ho Chi Minh, participate in activities to build a reading culture such as book fairs, library book exhibitions...

Referring to the importance of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Thanh Lam emphasized that throughout his revolutionary journey, Uncle Ho always had a special affection and a steadfast belief in the young generation. He not only educated the youth through his teachings but also through his own noble, close, simple life example, his lifelong dedication, study and training. All of these create a system of values ​​that provide long-term strategic guidance, laying the foundation for youth work in all periods of the country's development. From the light of his ideology, especially his teachings to the youth, to relate, find methods of self-training, urge each young person to have a plan to strive according to Uncle Ho's ideology, contributing to be worthy of the role of the future master of the country.

According to the direction of the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Thanh Lam, in the current period, it is necessary to have a deeper awareness of historical responsibility and one's role in the cause of national development in the new period. More than ever, young people need to have a strong political stance, be absolutely loyal to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; constantly practice revolutionary ethics, a healthy lifestyle, have aspirations to rise up, great ambitions, and be ready to contribute for the common good. Actively study, improve professional qualifications, vocational skills, especially digital skills, foreign language skills, creative thinking and flexible adaptability in the context of deep international integration.

Our Party clearly identifies the central task of rapid and sustainable economic development, in which science and technology, innovation and digital transformation play a decisive role.
