On the evening of July 6, regarding the explosion that occurred at the Hoang Thong Wood Company Limited branch, a leader of Binh Duong General Hospital said that on the same afternoon, the hospital received 9 patients with burns over 30% of their bodies.
The initial cause of the burns was determined to be an explosion in a dust tank, which caught fire and burned 9 workers. Before being taken to Binh Duong General Hospital, the group of workers were taken to a local clinic by the company.

At the time the hospital received them, all 9 workers had burns over 30% of their bodies, of which 4 had severe burns over 50% and were transferred by doctors to Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC) for further treatment, including: Le Van Phi (born 2003), Tang So Pha (born 1985), Danh Ngoc Quy (born 1990), Nguyen Van Ro (born 1979).
The leader of Binh Duong General Hospital said that the unit is currently focusing human resources to treat 5 patients being treated here.
Previously, at around 2:20 p.m. the same day, workers were repairing and maintaining a dust tank when an explosion suddenly occurred, injuring 9 workers.
The explosion caused many workers to run out of the factory of Hoang Thong Wood Company Limited. Some had their clothes torn or burned, revealing their black backs. Some workers had burns on their hands, feet, faces and heads.
