Over the past period, the various levels and sectors of Lang Son province have mobilized resources to implement projects and activities for children in remote, border, and disadvantaged areas, totaling over 2 billion VND. Lang Son province has organized the awarding of more than 2,000 gifts and scholarships; and ensured that 100% of children under 6 years old have been issued health insurance cards.
Currently, throughout the province, there are over 2,000 children in difficult circumstances and more than 30,000 children at risk of falling into difficult circumstances (accounting for 16% of the total number of children in the province). The number of severely disabled children and orphans remains high; the situation of accidents, injuries, drowning, and child violence continues to be complex; and the infrastructure and recreational areas for children do not meet the requirements, especially during the summer holidays.

Speaking at the ceremony, Comrade Tran Thanh Nhan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Lang Son Provincial Children's Protection Fund, requested that agencies, units, schools, families, and the entire society strengthen coordination and seriously and fully implement the 25 rights of children as stipulated by law; promote policy dissemination; enhance moral education , lifestyle education, and risk prevention skills for children; and organize safe and healthy summer activities and recreation.

The comrade suggested that the entire province should pay special attention to allocating and mobilizing maximum resources to assist disadvantaged children, children in ethnic minority areas, and children in remote areas; focusing on investing in building playgrounds to create a friendly and safe environment so that all children have the opportunity to develop comprehensively.

As part of the launching ceremony, the organizing committee awarded scholarships to 38 children from disadvantaged backgrounds who excelled academically despite difficult circumstances in communes classified as Zone III; and presented 176 gifts to children from other units.

Also at the ceremony, agencies, units, armed forces, businesses, and philanthropists contributed 469.7 million VND to the Lang Son Provincial Children's Protection Fund in 2026 to support disabled children, orphans, and poor children in remote areas, helping to alleviate their difficulties.
