Attending the ceremony to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day were President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian National Assembly Samdech Khuon Sudary, Vice President of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), President of the National Council of the Solidarity Front for the Development of the Cambodian Motherland, President of the Cambodia-Vietnam Friendship Association Samdech Men Sam An; along with senior leaders of the CPP, the Royal Government, the Senate and the National Assembly of Cambodia.
The ceremony was also attended by many international guests, representatives of businesses and the Vietnamese community living, working and studying in Cambodia.
In his welcome speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia Nguyen Minh Vu reviewed the 80-year heroic journey of the Vietnamese people since independence; and affirmed that the great achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland over the past 80 years are important premises for Vietnam to firmly enter a new era, an era of rising up, prosperity and strength.
Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized that Vietnam and Cambodia are two neighboring countries sharing the Mekong River, with a long history of close ties, sharing the ups and downs, standing side by side, helping each other in the past struggle for independence in each country, as well as in the process of construction and development today.
According to Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu, the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship has been diligently cultivated by generations of leaders and people of the two countries, and is constantly being consolidated and developed extensively under the motto of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, long-term sustainability," bringing practical benefits to the people of the two countries.
It can be affirmed that the relationship between the two countries is currently developing strongly in all fields, from politics , security and defense, to economics, trade and investment, health, culture, education, science and technology and people-to-people exchange.
In the atmosphere of friendship, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu affirmed that the presence of President of the Cambodian Senate Samdech Techo Hun Sen and Cambodian leaders at the ceremony was a testament to solidarity, traditional friendship and deep affection for the Vietnamese people on the occasion of the nation's important holiday.

On this occasion, Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu expressed his belief that with the determination of both sides, the friendship, solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries will be raised to a new height, meeting the aspirations of the people of the two countries.
The Ambassador also expressed hope that the Vietnam-Cambodia friendly and cooperative relationship will continue to develop, and the two countries will become more prosperous and rich.
Speaking at the event, on behalf of the Cambodian legislature, executive branch and people, Senate President Samdech Techo Hun Sen sent congratulations to the leaders of the Party, State and people of Vietnam on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day, affirming that Independence Day 80 years ago was not only a turning point for the Vietnamese people, but also a source of motivation for Southeast Asian countries, including Cambodia, to stand up and fight for independence from colonialism.
Senate President Samdech Hun Sen affirmed that Cambodia attaches importance to the close relationship and comprehensive cooperation with Vietnam, which has been developing in all fields and at all levels, in the spirit of "good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation and long-term sustainability." Since officially establishing diplomatic relations in 1967, the people of the two countries have always maintained warm friendship and good partnership.

In the context of the increasingly close relationship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, Mr. Hun Sen expressed that he always remembers the mutual support in the past, when the Cambodian people sacrificed and supported Vietnam in the struggle for national unification and independence of Vietnam, as well as the sacrifices of the Vietnamese volunteer army and people in overthrowing and liberating the Cambodian people from the genocidal regime, preventing the return of the genocidal regime, helping Cambodia rebuild the country. He stated: "This is a historical truth that no force can overturn or change."
According to Mr. Hun Sen, the Vietnam-Cambodia relationship is built on the basis of mutual respect and assistance, bringing benefits to the two countries and peoples, and at the same time making an important contribution to maintaining peace, stability, sustainable development and prosperity in the region.
The President of the Cambodian Senate highly appreciated the maintenance of warm relations through visits and delegation exchanges at all levels, including legislative and executive bodies and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, and expressed his pleasure at the stable development of comprehensive cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
Looking to the future, the President of the Cambodian Senate expressed his hope that the two countries would continue to promote further cooperation in a number of important areas, including defense, security, education, health, energy, tourism, culture, science and technology, making an important contribution to maintaining peace, stability, sustainable development and prosperity in the region and the world.
The ceremony took place in a joyful atmosphere, filled with friendship and solidarity with special art performances praising the homeland and the traditional friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
In particular, the booths introducing and promoting tourism and products of Vietnamese enterprises in Cambodia at the ceremony contributed to creating a lively exchange space, introducing opportunities and potential for trade and investment cooperation of Vietnamese enterprises with Cambodian partners and international friends./.
