Organizing the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued a plan to organize the 6th Cham Ethnic Culture Festival in Khanh Hoa province, expected to take place in June 2026, with the participation of 6 provinces and cities with large Cham populations.

The festival, themed "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of the Cham ethnic group in the new era," aims to honor and introduce the unique traditional cultural values ​​of the Cham community, while also enhancing the promotion of a diverse and unified Vietnamese culture in the process of integration.

According to the plan, the event will bring together hundreds of artisans, actors, and amateur athletes from provinces and cities where the Cham people live. The main activities will take place in the April 16th Square area, including the opening and closing ceremonies along with a series of unique cultural, sports , and tourism programs.

Within the framework of the festival, many diverse activities will be organized such as a folk art festival, performances of folk songs, folk dances, and traditional musical instruments; Cham costume shows; reenactments of typical rituals and festivals; and introductions to traditional crafts such as brocade weaving and pottery making.
