Carrying out the work of arranging the new commune-level political system, up to this point, Sa Thay district is ready to end district-level activities on June 30; arranging personnel to work in the communes after the merger; arranging offices and facilities after the arrangement as well as implementing policies and regimes for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers who wish to retire before the age of retirement or quit their jobs according to regulations. According to the arrangement plan, from the current 11 communes and towns, Sa Thay district will merge and merge into 05 communes, including Sa Thay, Sa Binh, Ya Ly communes, 02 border communes of Ro Koi and Mo Rai remain the same. After the arrangement, the district will arrange 138 cadres to hold commune-level leadership positions; 298 cadres, civil servants, and public employees to do professional work in the new communes. The district unanimously proposed policies for 44 cases of early retirement or quitting their jobs according to their wishes.
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Duong Van Trang acknowledged and highly appreciated the preparations for the administrative merger in Sa Thay district, especially in effectively utilizing redundant headquarters and connecting technical infrastructure to ensure smooth handling of public administrative procedures. At the same time, he encouraged and instilled a high sense of responsibility in all cadres and party members, requiring them to seriously implement the direction of the Provincial Party Committee and be ready to take on new tasks in the new locality after the arrangement. Affirming that this is a major policy of the Party and State, requiring consensus, the Provincial Party Secretary shared the initial difficulties, especially for civil servants and public employees at the commune level; requested the new communes to promptly assign specific tasks to departments and offices to test the operation of the political system apparatus, to be completed before June 28, 2025. The trial operation is the basis for evaluating the practice, drawing experience and perfecting the organization of the commune-level apparatus, ready for official operation from July 1, 2025, especially the organization of the trial operation of handling administrative procedures right at the Public Administration Centers in the new communes. The Secretary of the TU emphasized the decentralization and delegation of power to the communes for serious implementation, in accordance with regulations, meeting the requirements of organizational innovation in the new period./.
