- On the afternoon of August 20, in Hanoi, the Politburo 's Working Group worked with the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to give opinions on the draft documents and personnel plans for the Party Committee to be submitted to the 18th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Overview of the working session

Comrade Tran Thanh Man , Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly chaired the meeting. Also attending were Comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission; Comrade Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security ; Comrade Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee; Comrade Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; representatives of the Party Central Committee Office and central ministries and branches.

On the side of Lang Son province, there were comrades: Hoang Van Nghiem, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Doan Thi Hau, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Ho Tien Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; and a number of comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee Office and the Department of Finance.

At the meeting, the Secretary of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee reported to the Politburo 's Working Group on the preparations, documents and personnel plans for the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Accordingly, the Provincial Party Committee has proactively issued a plan to lead and direct the implementation of Directive No. 45 dated April 14, 2025 of the Politburo to Party committees and subordinate Party organizations for unified implementation; established subcommittees to assist in preparing and organizing the 18th Provincial Party Congress. Established inspection teams to direct, urge, and guide Party committees at the grassroots level and Party committees at communes and wards for the 2025-2030 term to prepare for the congress.

Immediately after completing the arrangement of the local government apparatus at 2 levels, closely following the Central's directives and instructions, the province promptly directed 69/69 Party Committees at the grassroots level and Party Committees at communes and wards for the 2025-2030 term to organize congresses (complete the organization of 65/65 Party Committees at the commune and wards level before July 31, 2025; complete the organization of 4/4 Party Committees at the grassroots level before August 15, 2025).

The preparation work for the 18th Provincial Party Congress has been actively carried out; the contents of the congress personnel have been seriously implemented, in accordance with the instructions, procedures and regulations. The congress documents have been carefully prepared, consulted, received, edited and supplemented through many conferences of the Document Subcommittee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the Provincial Party Executive Committee. The draft Political Report has been organized to collect comments from central departments, ministries and branches, former provincial leaders through the periods, the team of intellectuals, scientists, businessmen, enterprises, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations; delegates of the Provincial People's Council; affiliated party committees; Opinions of all walks of life contributed through Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station, the province's Electronic Information Portal... Contents on propaganda work, preparation of facilities, logistics, and ensuring security and order were carried out synchronously, ensuring the organization of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and contributing ideas to the draft Political Report to be submitted to the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, and gave opinions on personnel work.

Concluding the working session, the National Assembly Chairman basically agreed with the theme, layout, structure, content of the draft documents and personnel plan of the 18th Lang Son Provincial Party Congress. He highly appreciated Lang Son's preparations for the congress. The documents submitted to the congress were carefully, meticulously and seriously prepared and had taken into account all comments for completion.

The National Assembly Chairman requested the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee to review and re-edit some contents in the document to ensure they are concise, easy to remember and easy to understand; review the indicators to ensure they are complete and reasonable...

Appreciating the efforts and achievements of the Party Committee, government and people of Lang Son province in the past term, the National Assembly Chairman also pointed out some limitations such as small economic scale, low competitiveness; not fully exploiting and promoting potentials and advantages. Therefore, the province needs to deeply analyze potentials and strengths to focus on development; harmoniously resolve between economic development and socio-culture; focus on digital transformation; comprehensively implement resolutions in the "Four Pillars" of the Politburo. At the same time, ensure absolute maintenance of national defense - security, social order and safety.

On behalf of the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee, at the working session, the Provincial Party Secretary thanked the valuable comments and contributions of the Politburo members and the Party Central Committee Secretariat. The Provincial Party Standing Committee respectfully accepted the comments to study, supplement and complete the documents submitted to the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
