Governor General Sam Mostyn thanked Ambassador Pham Hung Tam and the Consuls General for their warm welcome, happily recalled memories of her trip to Vietnam in 1991 and highly appreciated Vietnam's outstanding achievements in economic and social development in recent years.
Very impressed when seeing images of the country and people of Vietnam, especially enjoyed watching the entire video clip "Bac Bling", Governor General Sam Mostyn said that young Australian artists are also looking for ways to innovate, help revive and bring Australia's indigenous cultural and artistic values to better reach the world.
Supporting the promotion of high-level delegation exchanges, Governor-General Sam Mostyn proposed increasing the exchange of experiences on gender equality, promoting people-to-people exchanges, cultural and tourism cooperation, and highly appreciating the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Australia to the local community.
Sharing the importance of educational cooperation in Vietnam-Australia relations, Governor-General Sam Mostyn agreed that this is an area that helps build connections and understanding between the people of the two countries, while also making a positive contribution to the Australian economy.
Governor-General Sam Mostyn also expressed his interest and promised to discuss further to facilitate the issuance of student visas for Vietnamese students to Australia.

Ambassador Pham Hung Tam informed the Governor-General about the important achievements in cooperation in the Vietnam-Australia relationship, especially the upgrading of the relationship to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in March 2024 during Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's official visit to Australia in March 2024.
Ambassador Pham Hung Tam and the Consuls General also shared and introduced the culture, history, country and people of Vietnam; the major policies of our Party and State in socio-economic development; as well as Vietnam's desire to continuously develop economic, trade, investment, education, training, science and technology, tourism and people-to-people exchange cooperation between the two countries.
Thanking Australia for creating conditions for the Vietnamese community in Australia to live, work and study, contributing to the development of multicultural values in Australia as well as contributing to the friendly relations between the two countries, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam expressed his hope that Australia will create more favorable conditions for Vietnamese students to study in Australia.
On this occasion, Ambassador Pham Hung Tam invited Governor-General Sam Mostyn and Australian officials to enjoy special traditional Vietnamese dishes.
