The film screening is to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024), the 138th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2024), the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024) and the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024).
Specifically, at 7:00 p.m. on April 27 and 28, film screenings will be held on the sidewalk area east of Nhu Nguyet Street. On the evening of April 27, films Vo Nguyen Giap (animated film), Dien Bien Memories (feature film) will be shown; on the evening of April 28, films Angry Green Forest (animated film), and Saigon Liberation (feature film) will be shown.
On May 6 and 7, the film will be shown at 7:30 p.m. at Le Do Cinema (46 Tran Phu). On the evening of May 6, the film Hoa Ban Do (feature film) will be shown; on the evening of May 7, the film Living with History (feature film) will be shown.
This film series aims to help people and tourists understand more about the history and tradition of the Vietnamese people's struggle for independence; at the same time, create a joyful atmosphere and new experiences for people during the holidays as well as contribute to attracting tourists to the city.
Previously, at the end of March, Le Do Cinema organized a screening of the historical film "Thau Chin in Xiem" on the sidewalk area east of Nhu Nguyet Street to celebrate the Liberation Day of Da Nang City. It received a good response when many people and tourists came to watch and hoped that this activity would continue to be maintained and expanded.
