Le Hoang Phuong was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 on the evening of August 27th in Ho Chi Minh City. This result received widespread approval from the beauty pageant community because the 28-year-old beauty was considered a strong contender from the very beginning of the competition, possessing both stunning looks and impressive performance skills and experience. Le Hoang Phuong is no stranger to the beauty pageant community, having previously participated in Miss Universe Vietnam 2019 and 2022. Notably, at Miss Universe Vietnam 2022, Le Hoang Phuong reached the Top 5 and won the Best Catwalk award.

The beauty from Khanh Hoa graduated from the Architecture department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HUTECH). Currently, Le Hoang Phuong is the founder and CEO of an architectural firm. She possesses a height of 1.76m and attractive measurements of 87-63-95cm.

PV Dan Viet had a conversation with the newly crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, Le Hoang Phuong, about her journey to conquer the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 crown and her preparations for the Miss Grand International competition, which will be hosted in Vietnam this coming October .

Miss Le Hoang Phuong: "I am fortunate to have achieved my dream."

After four years of diligently competing in beauty pageants, success finally smiled upon Le Hoang Phuong as she became the winner of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023. According to Phuong, was this sweet reward a bit late, or just right for all the effort and waiting she put in since competing in Miss Universe Vietnam 2019?

- For me, success never comes too late, as long as I can achieve the goals I've set for myself. I'm truly happy that my dream of winning the crown has come true. As I've shared many times, Miss Grand Vietnam is also the last national beauty pageant I'll participate in. Therefore, I've honed my skills and constantly strived to reach that dream.

Many people share the sentiment that, besides winning the Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 crown, Le Hoang Phuong also broke a series of "curses": being a supposed winner who actually won the title, winning the crown at the age of 28… But what kind of pressure or preparation did Phuong face for this competition that many people don't know about?

- My biggest challenge was probably… practicing the group dance. Every time I danced in time and knew the choreography, everyone around me was so happy (laughs). I'm just joking. Actually, any girl who comes to the Miss Grand Vietnam competition will face her own difficulties and pressures, not just me. But luckily, since I've achieved my goal and reached my dream, I feel that the difficulties and pressures I went through are no longer a big problem.

Is it true that first runner-up Bui Khanh Linh is the girl you most want to hold hands with in the Top 2 of Miss Grand Vietnam 2023, or is it someone else?

- When I was a contestant, I thought that any girl could be in the Top 2, because each girl has her own strengths and efforts. So I didn't think about which girl would hold my hand if I made it to the Top 2, or who deserved it more than whom. At that moment, I couldn't think much because I was just focused on listening to the results.

So, in that moment of coronation, with so many people chanting Le Hoang Phuong's name, what special and unforgettable emotions did that bring you?

- At that moment, my emotions seemed to overwhelm me. Even now, many days later, I still feel a sense of nostalgia whenever I remember it.

Many beauty queens and runners-up have achieved success in their careers and lives. Who is the person that Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 Le Hoang Phuong admires the most?

- I've noticed that everyone's measure of success is different. The beauty queens and runners-up I know all have their own successes in various fields. I'm surrounded by many successful and talented people whom I admire and want to learn from. Looking at those who came before me helps me accumulate experience and lessons, allowing me to move forward more confidently on my path to achieving my own goals.

Regarding her personality, what does Miss Le Hoang Phuong see in herself, and what qualities does she want people to see in her?

- Besides demonstrating perseverance in beauty pageants, I also want people to see Le Hoang Phuong as a girl who is persistent in her career and work, and persistent in her studies.

With about a month to prepare for Miss Grand International 2023, what are Miss Le Hoang Phuong's goals and rankings? Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien was crowned Miss Grand International 2021, and Doan Thien An reached the Top 20 of Miss Grand International 2022.

- Currently, my immediate goal is to reach the Top 5 of Miss Grand International 2023. To prepare for this journey, my team and I have planned our outfits, honed our essential skills, and developed a workout regimen to achieve a more toned physique... I will do my best to achieve the best possible result while representing Vietnam.

Currently, many contestants at Miss Grand International 2023 have been revealed, with the Thai contestant always being compared to Vietnam in this competition. Who does Miss Le Hoang Phuong consider her strongest competitor at Miss Grand International this year?

- The representatives at Miss Grand International 2023 are undoubtedly all girls with outstanding looks and many strengths. Anyone could win. Instead of being afraid or wary of the other representatives, I think I should focus more on myself to always perform well in the competition, without a single moment of carelessness.

What is Miss Le Hoang Phuong's strongest "weapon" at the upcoming Miss Grand International 2023 competition?

- I think that, besides my own efforts, the strongest "weapon" I have is the love and encouragement of my family, friends, colleagues, and audience. It is these things that have helped me to persevere, be persistent, and not give up no matter what difficulties I face.
