Time and location of the fireworks display.

The artistic fireworks display celebrating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party took place as part of a special art program starting at 8 PM on January 23rd at My Dinh National Stadium.

The art program, titled "Under the Glorious Banner of the Party," consists of three parts. Each part is followed by a low-altitude fireworks display (fountains and pyrotechnics), concluding with 15 minutes of high-altitude fireworks. The entire fireworks display is staged in six consecutive bursts, creating a striking highlight for the evening's artistic performance.

The fireworks display was set up on the roof and surrounding area of the My Dinh National Stadium. Specifically, pyrotechnic fireworks were positioned on the roof and on both sides of Stand B; high-altitude explosive fireworks were placed from halfway down Le Duc Tho Street, past the clock tower, to the open space in front of the Aquatic Sports Palace in Tu Liem Ward.

The firing system is arranged in an arc shape, expanding the viewing range for spectators inside and outside the stadium.

The organizers said that approximately 10,000 fireworks will be used, including 4,600 high-altitude fireworks, 950 fountains, and 4,400 pyrotechnic fireworks tubes. This is about four times the amount of fireworks used in other events in Hanoi .

High-altitude fireworks reached heights of 110m to 200m, with a maximum radius of 150m. Pyrotechnic fireworks around grandstand B reached heights of 50m to 90m, while the fountains themselves reached heights of approximately 50m to 60m.

Since the roads around the stadium will be completely closed to vehicles from 6 PM to midnight on January 23rd, residents and tourists need to make arrangements for transportation, plan their travel time, and arrive at the fireworks viewing area at least 60 minutes before the show begins.

If you're driving a private vehicle, you should park outside the restricted area and then walk to the streets surrounding the stadium.

Here are some suggestions for beautiful spots to watch and photograph fireworks.

According to the organizers, photographers, and residents living around the My Dinh area, the best vantage point for viewing fireworks isn't necessarily about being as close as possible, but rather depends on altitude, distance, wind direction, and the surrounding context. The ideal location is one with an unobstructed view, at eye level, minimal smoke obstruction, depth, or where the fireworks can be reflected on the water's surface.

From elevated positions, many apartment buildings, hotels, and office complexes facing My Dinh Stadium offer views of the fireworks. Some of the best viewing spots include: The Emerald apartment complex, MHDI CT5-CT6 (Dinh Thon Street), the two MHDI buildings (Le Duc Tho - Tran Huu Duc intersection), Sudico building (Me Tri Street), 789 apartment complex (My Dinh 2 Street), high-rise apartments in The Manor complex (Me Tri Street), My Dinh - Song Da building (Tran Van Lai Street), Vinhome Skylake apartment complex (Pham Hung Street)...

Some hotels and high-rise buildings such as Sheraton Hanoi West (Le Duc Tho Street), Keangnam Landmark72 (Pham Hung Street), Dolphin Plaza, Viettel office buildings, Agribank , Vietnam Football Federation... also offer high-altitude views of the fireworks, however, photography may be limited due to colored glass.

At a low altitude, the fireworks can be seen from the area around My Dinh Square and along Le Quang Dao, Le Duc Tho streets, and the side streets near the Aquatic Sports Complex.

Due to security requirements, residents and tourists will stand approximately 500 meters away from the stadium. Streets behind the stadium, such as Nguyen Van Giap, Do Xuan Hop, and Phuc Dien, will still offer views of the fireworks, but the view will not be as good as from the front.

Cau Giay regulating lake park, near the Hanoi Children's Palace, is considered a beautiful spot to watch fireworks from afar, with unobstructed views, suitable for those who want to avoid crowds.

The organizers advise people to arrive 2-3 hours early to find parking and choose a suitable spot, and also to pay attention to the weather as Hanoi is currently experiencing strong northeast monsoon winds, checking the wind direction to avoid smoke from fireworks obscuring visibility.

Restaurants and cafes near the stadium are closed during this time for security reasons.
