The moment Le Hoang Phuong was crowned Miss Grand Vietnam 2023.
After three attempts at beauty pageants, Le Hoang Phuong finally conquered the prestigious crown. Audiences say Phuong "spent her entire youth competing in beauty pageants." What would you like to say about your journey?
I think everyone has a goal to strive for in life. My participation in the beauty pageant is also one of the goals and dreams I want to achieve.
I've shared before that Miss Grand Vietnam 2023 was the last beauty pageant in the country I would participate in. Therefore, I've put in a lot of effort and dedication throughout this journey. And luck has smiled upon me.
Looking back on my journey, receiving so much support and encouragement from the audience has been a huge motivation for me to shine. Hopefully, in the future, with my new role and mission, I can share many good things with the community.
What is the biggest change for you after becoming Miss Universe?
I find myself just busier, with a slightly higher workload, but nothing has changed much. With my quick adaptability, I believe I can accomplish a lot.
Furthermore, in the past, I usually managed my artistic activities and business ventures on my own. After winning the crown, I was fortunate to gain a "second family" with a team of supportive mentors who always loved and helped me in my work. This allowed me to have more time to focus on self-improvement and developing my cherished projects.
Participating in beauty pageants doesn't cost a lot of money.

Having previously revealed that her mother almost had to sell their house to fund her beauty pageant, what is her biggest investment this time?
It's definitely an investment in my mental state. Without a strong spirit and the enthusiastic support from my audience, I wouldn't have been able to come this far.
I was lucky to receive support from many colleagues in the industry regarding costumes, makeup, image investment, etc., so I didn't actually spend as much money on the competition as people think (laughs).
Having already established careers as a model and architect, why are you still determined to seek a title in a beauty pageant?
I think nothing is ever enough; each of my goals is a step I must strive to reach instead of standing still. The journey to conquer the crown is one of the dreams I've always wanted to achieve.
This title not only gives me more opportunities for self-development, but also allows me to do many good things for my family and society. That's why I always say I entered the beauty pageant to have a chance to change my life, for myself and for everyone else.
Did becoming a beauty queen affect your other work?
Actually, I'm still handling my work online and everything is running smoothly.
Although the nature of the two roles is different, I believe that in either position, one needs to be professional, meticulous, skillful, and responsible in their work.
After the competition, images of Hoang Phuong wearing a T-shirt and shorts, working tirelessly on the construction site, were widely shared. When she first started this job, did she encounter many difficulties or prejudices because she was a woman?
The obstacles and difficulties I encountered did not stem from gender stereotypes. With the development of modern society, women have many opportunities to express themselves. I also feel that gender stereotypes seem to be gradually fading in many areas.
The goal is the Miss Grand International crown.

Phuong's victory as Miss Vietnam was predicted by the media and the public beforehand. As for yourself, did you ever think you would become Miss Vietnam?
When entering the competition, I always set the highest goal for myself and strive to do my best. However, I think that every girl has her own strengths, everyone puts in the effort, and anyone can achieve the highest title.
I am very grateful for the audience's support and love. This also partly proves that my journey has left a lasting impression on the audience, and that my efforts have been recognized. It gives me even more motivation on my journey to conquer the beauty queen crown.
This milestone also marks a new version of myself in my artistic career.
The audience supported Phuong for the top spot, but also felt sorry for Bui Khanh Linh. What are your thoughts on the girl who held your hand during the most important moment of the competition?
For Phuong, Bui Khanh Linh is a very thoughtful and understanding girl. Every time I've interacted and worked with Linh, I've felt her care and warmth. This is also why Linh and I became close very quickly.
Some also commented that she looks a bit "old" compared to the current beauty queens?
"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream" - CS Lewis. This is always a motto I remember before encountering opinions that might "hinder" me from achieving my dreams.
Having achieved my dream, I can confidently say that age doesn't matter. It's all thanks to hard work and a constant desire to spread positivity to the world .
I believe that every woman is born with her own unique beauty. No one can decide at what age a girl will be radiantly beautiful or "old-fashioned." For me, everything in life is time-sensitive, and I believe I am shining at the right time.
Having been crowned Miss Vietnam at the age of 28, what advantages and disadvantages do you think you have when competing internationally?
I think my strengths are my composure and experience on stage and in fashion shows. However, I also have my limitations. Currently, I am still working hard to improve my skills to perform well in the upcoming competition.
At Miss Grand International 2023, I hope to represent the image of a confident, resilient, and strong Vietnamese woman, alongside the dynamism of a "ready to work" spirit – a willingness to do anything.
Are you determined to bring the second Miss Grand International crown back to Vietnam?
This is the goal of all girls who become Vietnam's representative in any international beauty pageant. I'm sure I'm no exception. I will bring my best effort and strive to achieve my goals at Miss Grand International 2023.

Le Hoang Phuong, born in 1995, is 1.76m tall and has measurements of 87-63-95cm. She possesses expressive eyes, long legs, a tanned complexion, and a healthy, charismatic beauty.
She graduated with a good grade in Architecture from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology in 2021. The beauty queen is currently the CEO of an architectural company, specializing in design and construction.
In addition, Hoang Phuong is also a highly sought-after model, frequently taking on the roles of first face and vedette in many fashion shows.
Le Hoang Phuong will represent Vietnam at Miss Grand International 2023, which will be held in October on home soil.
