Waddle believes that if Manchester United free up enough funds, Palmer could be central to Carrick's new project. "To bring in top-class players like Palmer, MU must first clear out their current squad," Waddle emphasized.

Notably, Carrick remained calm after the 3-0 victory against Brighton in the final round. The 44-year-old manager affirmed that fighting spirit and consistency are the foundation for building a title-competitive Manchester United in the near future.
