In this special art program, the public and music lovers listened to the heroic and vibrant melodies of songs that have been with us for years, songs with themes about life, fighting and defending the Fatherland of the Vietnam People's Army; songs praising love and national pride, praising the glorious Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh... Those are the melodies of the songs: "The Party gave us a whole Spring" by musician Pham Tuyen; the song "The soldiers return to the village" (music by musician Le Yen, set to poetry by Hoang Trung Thong) imbued with the love between the army and the people; the feelings and longing of the soldiers for Uncle Ho through the song "Uncle is marching with us" by musician Huy Thuc. That is also the special comradeship and brotherhood through the song "Meeting on the top of Truong Son" by musician Hoang Ha; or the sweet and warm image of the girl raising the army through the song "Light the Fire, My Dear" by musician Huy Du; the songs "Marching Under the Military Flag" by musician Doan Nho, "For the People, Forget Yourself" by musician Doan Quang Khai... have united millions of hearts of soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army, wholeheartedly following the Party, willing to fight and sacrifice for the people, for the peace of the Fatherland...

The representative of the Organizing Committee said that the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army is a special occasion for us to proudly look back on the glorious journey of our army and people, through the nation's long resistance wars to protect the Fatherland and protect the territorial integrity. Generations of officers and soldiers, with their intelligence, courage, determination to fight and win, not afraid of sacrifice and hardship, have built the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People's Army. This is an endless source of inspiration for generations of artists to create art, giving birth to many works and projects of high ideological and artistic value associated with the glorious tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army, contributing to enriching the mainstream of Vietnamese revolutionary literature and art, leaving a deep impression on the advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity. Over the past 80 years, many generations of artists have grown up in the army, attached to and accompanied the growth of the armed forces. The art program "Forever the marching song" is not only a music night honoring the feats of arms of the Vietnam People's Army, reviewing the proud tradition, expressing gratitude to generations of armed forces who have contributed to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, but also an opportunity for each citizen to feel more proud of the nation, arousing love for the homeland and the desire for peace.
