General Secretary To Lam received Chairman of the National People's Congress of China Zhao Leji.

Comrade Trieu Lac Te paid an official visit to Vietnam, attended the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day on September 2, and co-chaired the First Session of the Cooperation Committee between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chinese National People's Congress.

General Secretary To Lam sent his warm regards and best wishes to General Secretary and President Xi Jinping and other key leaders of China; expressed his appreciation for the fact that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and General Secretary and President Xi Jinping had sent Comrade Zhao Leji as a high-ranking representative of the Party and State of China to attend the 80th Anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2 and sent military personnel to attend the military parade.

Sharing about the great and historic achievements that Vietnam has achieved in the heroic journey of the past 80 years, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always remember and are grateful for the great, righteous and wholehearted help of the Communist Party of China and the brotherly Chinese people.

General Secretary To Lam expressed his delight that in the context of profound changes in the world, Vietnam and China have maintained stability and development, and the relationship between the two parties and countries has achieved outstanding results, in line with the "6 more" direction, in which the relationship between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the Chinese National People's Congress has become increasingly substantive and profound.

The General Secretary said that the two countries need to unite closely and walk hand in hand towards socialism; affirmed that Vietnam always considers developing relations with China an objective requirement, a strategic choice, and a top priority in its overall foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, diversification, multilateralization, and the "4 no's" defense policy.

Chairman Zhao Leji respectfully conveyed the greetings and best wishes of General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping and key Chinese leaders to General Secretary To Lam, warmly congratulating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and Vietnam's National Day September 2; congratulating the Vietnamese people on the past 80 years, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, having achieved outstanding development achievements, with increasingly enhanced international position and prestige, and increasingly improved people's lives.

Chairman Zhao Leji affirmed that China attaches great importance to the China-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and the Community of Shared Future, which has strategic significance, and always considers this a priority direction in its neighborly diplomacy; China supports Vietnam in successfully organizing the 14th National Congress, successfully implementing the cause of Doi Moi, industrialization, modernization of the country, and successfully building socialism.

In order to continue to elevate and deepen the bilateral relationship in the coming time, General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two parties and countries continue to strengthen political trust and strategic coordination, build a trustworthy and sincere political relationship between the highest leadership of the two parties and countries; improve the effectiveness of cooperation mechanisms on the Party, Government, National Assembly, Front channels and in key and regular fields including public security, defense, and diplomacy; further deepen cooperation between the two legislative bodies, continue to promote the exchange of experiences in legislative and supervisory work, and build a socialist rule-of-law state under the leadership of the Party.

The General Secretary hoped that the legislative bodies of the two countries would play their role in promoting higher-level connectivity between the two economies, giving top priority to railway cooperation, promoting trade development in a balanced and sustainable direction, further opening up each other's markets; further connecting in science and technology, especially in key areas such as AI, semiconductors, nuclear energy, 5G, 6G; promoting people-to-people exchanges, and consolidating the social foundation of bilateral relations.

Regarding the East Sea issue, General Secretary To Lam suggested that the two sides continue to better control and resolve disagreements, put themselves in each other's shoes, respect each other's legitimate interests, and jointly maintain a peaceful and stable environment so that the two socialist countries can focus on promoting a new era and period of development for the two peoples.

Expressing his appreciation and agreement with the opinions of General Secretary To Lam, Chairman of the Committee Trieu Le Te affirmed that China is ready to work with Vietnam to implement the results achieved during the State visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President Xi Jinping, enhance political trust, deepen substantive cooperation, strengthen strategic connectivity between the two economies, enhance cooperation in the fields of culture, education, tourism, and people-to-people exchange; properly control and better resolve disagreements, jointly maintain peace and stability at sea, and create a favorable environment for the development of each country.

Chairman Zhao Leji emphasized that during this visit, the two sides will coordinate to well organize the First Session of the Cooperation Committee between the National People's Congress of China and the National Assembly of Vietnam, creating a new milestone in cooperation between the two legislative bodies, making practical contributions to promoting the stable, healthy and sustainable development of the relationship between the two parties and the two countries in the new era.
