General Department of Logistics and Engineering handed over 248 motorbikes to the Commune Military Command of Vinh Long province

On the morning of August 28, at the Military Command of Vinh Long province, the General Department of Logistics and Engineering ( Ministry of National Defense ) organized the handover of two-wheeled motorbikes to the Military Command at the commune level.

Attending the program were Major General Vu Van Cuong - Deputy Political Commissar, General Department of Logistics and Engineering; Major General Nguyen Minh Trieu - Deputy Commander of Military Region 9; Comrade Pham Minh Hoang - Member of Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee and leaders of departments and units under the Ministry of National Defense, Military Region 9 and Vinh Long province.

The General Department of Logistics and Engineering handed over two-wheeled motorbikes to the Commune Military Command.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Minh Trieu said that Military Region 9 will continue to direct and coordinate with the remaining units to receive the vehicles according to plan, ensuring early practical use for the military forces of communes and wards; at the same time, strictly manage and ensure proper use, effectiveness, efficiency and safety. At the same time, Major General Nguyen Minh Trieu requested the Military Command of Vinh Long province and communes and wards to use the vehicles for the right purposes, strictly comply with the Traffic Law, not use them for personal purposes; and the competent authorities to support the completion of registration procedures so that the vehicles can soon be put into effective use.

According to the decision of the Ministry of National Defense, the entire army will be equipped with more than 6,000 two-wheeled motorbikes, of which Military Region 9 will receive 990 vehicles, and Vinh Long province alone will be provided with 248 vehicles. This type of vehicle has technical features suitable for local conditions, is durable, easy to use, and convenient for mobile work, especially in remote, isolated, and border areas.
