The Politburo agreed to give 100,000 VND per person to all people to celebrate Independence Day.

The Prime Minister has just issued Official Dispatch No. 149/CD-TTg dated August 28, 2025 on giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

The telegram stated that in the jubilant atmosphere of the whole country celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, to continue to show the deep concern of the Party and State for all people, implementing the direction of General Secretary To Lam, the Government Party Committee submitted to the Politburo the organization of gift giving to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

In Document No. 17129-CV/VPTW dated August 28, 2025 of the Central Office, the Politburo agreed on the policy of giving gifts to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

In order to promptly implement the Politburo's direction, the Prime Minister requests the Ministry of Finance, the State Bank of Vietnam, the Ministry of Public Security and the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities, according to their assigned functions and tasks, based on the Politburo's direction in Official Dispatch No. 17129-CV/VPTW, to closely coordinate and immediately review the recipients of gifts and transfer the gifts to people by appropriate means (bank transfer or directly) as soon as possible, to be completed before National Day September 2, 2025.

The gift level is 100,000 VND/person, for all people to celebrate Independence Day.

The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently report to competent authorities for decision before August 29, 2025 to arrange appropriate funding sources for implementation, ensuring state budget balance.

The State Bank of Vietnam directs relevant units and commercial banks, especially commercial banks where the State Treasury opens accounts, to ensure the payment and cash systems, meeting the requirements of giving gifts to people in a timely and smooth manner, without missing anyone and without duplication.

The People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities direct relevant agencies and units in their localities to closely coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Finance, and the State Bank of Vietnam to organize timely and safe delivery of gifts to people, ensuring progress as required.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam News Agency, Vietnam Television, and Voice of Vietnam, according to their assigned functions and tasks, shall carry out information and communication work on the above policies of the Party and State, creating an atmosphere of excitement and solidarity among the people to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

The Government Office, according to its assigned functions and tasks, shall monitor and urge the implementation of this dispatch; report to competent authorities on issues beyond its authority.
