The Vietnam Business Innovation Challenge (VBIC) Season 2 has officially returned with a brand new theme - "Building from Tradition".
With the theme "Building from Tradition," VBIC 2025 challenges the younger generation to redefine traditional business values through creative thinking and innovation. Based on the principle of putting people at the center, combining a multidisciplinary approach and practical problem-solving, the competition presents real-world business challenges, encouraging students to collaborate to find solutions.
Throughout the journey, young people will receive dedicated guidance from a team of experienced mentors, including founders, chairmen of the board, directors, and senior leaders from reputable businesses.
Eligible participants are students aged 14-18 (at the time of registration) currently attending secondary schools in Southeast Asia.
Students should have a basic understanding of or interest in one of the following areas: Business Fundamentals; Economics and Finance; Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills. Proficiency in English is required to complete the competition tasks entirely in English.
Students register in teams of 3 members.
The contestants went through three rounds of competition.
Round 1: Application Selection (March 5th to March 14th): After receiving the business challenge brief, participating teams will have 20 days to submit a video presentation of their analysis and proposed solutions to the organizing committee.
Round 2: Selection (March 24th to April 5th): After receiving the business challenge assignment, teams will have 15 hours to prepare and submit their analysis and solutions. They will then present their findings online to the judging panel.
Round 3: Final (scheduled for April 19th): After receiving the challenge – a real-world business problem – the teams will have 3 hours to prepare, then present their results offline to the judging panel.
The prize is a four-year university scholarship worth over 8.4 billion VND. The scholarship covers four years of undergraduate study at Fulbright University Vietnam, with a 60% tuition fee waiver for the first-place team, 50% for the second-place team, and 40% for the third-place team. Tuition fees for a one-week special training program at Fulbright University Vietnam are also waived, valued at 135 million VND.
In addition, scholarships for short-term courses from the University of Adelaide, totaling VND 24 million, will be awarded to the top 2 teams. There will also be opportunities for exclusive mentoring and coaching for the top 10 and top 50 teams. Furthermore, the competition offers numerous other prizes and support.
Organized by Olympia High School in collaboration with Fulbright University Vietnam, VBIC is a creative playground exclusively for high school students in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Following the success of Season 1, which saw the participation of 260 teams and 780 contestants from over 10 countries and territories, VBIC 2025 promises to continue delivering outstanding solutions from the innovators of the future.
