Comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives with outstanding achievements in participating in the activities of the Military-Civilian Tet celebration of Chol Chnam Thmay in 2025.
The Military-Civilian Tet Celebration of Chol Chnam Thmay took place from April 9 to 11. Officers and soldiers of the city's armed forces participated in cleaning the gate and fence of Settodor Pagoda (Co Do town); clearing roads in Thoi Xuan commune with a total length of 12,900m. The Organizing Committee of the Military-Civilian Tet Celebration of Chol Chnam Thmay organized medical examinations and provided free medicine to people; presented Comrades' houses and Comrades' Love houses; presented gifts to Khmer ethnic people in difficult circumstances; presented scholarships and bicycles to students who overcame difficulties to study well... At the same time, cultural and artistic activities were organized, exchanging between officers and soldiers of the armed forces and union members, youth and local people. The total cost of implementing projects and organizing activities to serve the 2025 Chol Chnam Thmay Army-Civilian Tet is more than 2.3 billion VND, of which more than 1.4 billion VND is socialized.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the Military-Civilian Tet Celebration of Chol Chnam Thmay, said: the Military-Civilian Tet model and the Military-Civilian Tet Celebration of Chol Chnam Thmay have made an important contribution to promoting socio-economic development, building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and a healthy cultural environment in localities; and strengthening the increasingly close relationship between the Party, the State, the armed forces and the people.
Comrade Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep suggested that the City Military Command continue to closely coordinate with departments, branches, sectors, organizations, and localities to well prepare for the 2026 Military-Civilian Tet to celebrate Chol Chnam Thmay; organize more cultural and artistic exchange activities between Khmer ethnic people and officers and soldiers of the armed forces; establish a steering committee to organize activities for the Military-Civilian Tet and the Military-Civilian Tet to celebrate Chol Chnam Thmay...
On this occasion, Can Tho City People's Committee awarded 18 Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in participating in the activities of the Military-Civilian Tet celebration of Chol Chnam Thmay in 2025.
