On December 4, the Maize Research Institute in collaboration with Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company organized a conference to summarize the biomass corn model in the program "Building and perfecting the biomass corn cultivation process according to the circular economic model" in Dak Lak province.

The program "Building and perfecting the process of cultivating biomass corn according to the circular economic model" is implemented for two consecutive corn crops, Summer-Autumn and Autumn-Winter 2023 in two ecological regions of Son La and Dak Lak provinces with a total area of 8 hectares.

In Dak Lak province, the model was implemented on an area of 2 hectares of Mr. Le Ky Minh's household, in residential group 5 (Tan Hoa ward, Buon Ma Thuot city), using LVN66 corn variety created by the Hybrid Corn Research Institute, fertilized with Dau Trau NPK fertilizer produced by Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company.

The purpose of the model is to use a circular process to implement a closed livestock farming process from land preparation, corn planting, livestock care to waste treatment to create a "green cycle". Thanks to biogas technology, livestock waste is treated to continue to fertilize corn fields and improve the soil. Regenerating and reusing energy is both economically efficient and significantly reduces CO2 emissions, adapting to climate change.

LVN66 hybrid corn grows and develops well, has high yield, and is suitable for local climate conditions.
The LVN66 hybrid variety grows and develops well, giving high yield and suitable for local climatic conditions.

After more than 80 days, from sowing to harvest, LVN66 hybrid corn grows well and evenly, has durable green leaves, is resistant to major pests and diseases, and has a biomass yield of 74 - 78 tons/ha, bringing in a net profit of 31 - 32 million VND/ha.

The fertilizer of Binh Dien Fertilizer Joint Stock Company is suitable for biomass corn, providing enough nutrients for plants, helping plants to be healthy, grow, develop well, and be durable, helping to prolong the harvest time and bring economic efficiency 35 - 38% higher than the mass fertilization level. This is the basis for expanding the local production model.

The construction of a biomass corn cultivation process using Dau Trau fertilizer aims to reduce the amount of fertilizer, lower product costs, increase value per unit land area... adapting to climate change in the current period.
