According to Tass news agency (Russia), Minister Reshetnikov reported to President Putin about the inflation situation in Russia.
“The level of public debt is many times lower, inflation is significantly lower. Among developed countries, inflation in Russia in March was one of the lowest at 3.5%, while in April it was 2.6%,” Reshetnikov said.
Earlier, Reshetnikov said that inflation in Russia is expected to be around 5.3% in 2023.

This is the first time President Putin has appeared on Russian state media since officials announced two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) attacked the Kremlin in the early morning of May 3.
The press service of the Russian President's Office accused Ukraine of using UAVs to attack the Kremlin. Russian military and security agencies acted promptly, deploying electronic warfare systems to neutralize the UAVs.
Russia called the attack on the Kremlin an act of "terrorism" and an "assassination attempt" on President Putin.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that President Putin was not in the Kremlin at the time of the UAV attack. Mr Peskov said President Putin remained "calm" after the attack last night.
Mr. Peskov also accused the US of being behind the attack and Ukraine of acting on Washington's instructions.
"The decisions made, the determination of goals, the determination of methods of implementation... all were ordered by Washington to Kiev," Mr. Peskov said.
The Kremlin spokesman pointed out that "usually the targets of the attack are not decided by Kiev, but by Washington, which then informs Kiev so that Kiev can carry out the order."
John Kirby, spokesman for the US National Security Council, called Russia's accusation that the US directed Ukraine to carry out a drone attack on the Kremlin and a plot to assassinate President Putin "absurd".
"I just want to say that Mr. Peskov is lying. That is clearly a ridiculous statement. The United States has nothing to do with this. We don't even know what happened here," Mr. Kirby affirmed.
US officials said the White House "discourages and does not support attacks on individual leaders".
Ukrainian officials also unanimously denied Russia's accusations. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky affirmed that Kiev was not involved in the UAV attack on the Kremlin. Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak stated that Kiev was not behind this incident.
