Transportation is the largest source of PM2.5 emissions in Hanoi.
Never before has the issue of environmental pollution, especially air pollution, posed such urgent requirements and required such drastic actions as it does today, especially in Hanoi - air pollution is always a "hot" issue.
In the media and newspapers, just type in the phrase "air pollution in Hanoi" and you will immediately receive a series of very worrying messages: "Suffering pain when Hanoi's air is the second most polluted in the world "; "Hanoi's sky is hazy from morning to afternoon"; "Air quality on the morning of July 15: Another polluted day in Hanoi"; "Air situation on the morning of July 15: Hanoi capital is still at an unhealthy level"...
According to the report of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, 56.1% of air pollution in Hanoi comes from about 7 million motorbikes with uncontrolled emissions, 800,000 gasoline-powered cars, along with road dust due to tire friction... In addition, Hanoi's pollution also comes from industrial production, people's activities, weather and climate factors... From the above reality, citing recommendations from experts, public opinion emphasizes that: "A green transformation push is needed" to solve the pollution problem in Hanoi.
So what do we need to do to protect the environment and protect people's health, especially in big cities, especially in the capital Hanoi, where pollution indexes are constantly in a "warning" state?
These contents will be discussed, analyzed and advised at the Seminar: "DETERMINEDLY PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT, PROTECTING THE HEALTH OF THE CAPITAL'S PEOPLE" organized by the Government Portal today with the participation of invited guests who are environmental experts, representatives of the Ministry of Health, and leaders of the Hanoi People's Committee.
