In July 2025, the Vietnamese automobile market continued to maintain a vibrant pace despite a slight decrease in sales compared to the previous month. Members of the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers Association (VAMA) sold 31,739 vehicles, down 1% compared to June but still up 10% over the same period.

In total, VAMA, VinFast and Hyundai Thanh Cong sold 46,722 cars, down more than 2% compared to the previous month. In the group of cars using internal combustion engines, the ranking of the best-selling cars in July in Vietnam had many fluctuations.

Ford Ranger: 1,598 vehicles
Ford Ranger unexpectedly took the lead in sales of internal combustion engine vehicles in Vietnam with 1,598 vehicles, up 14% compared to June, and at the same time raised cumulative sales in 2025 to 9,383 vehicles. This achievement forced Mitsubishi Xpander - the "champion" of last month - to fall to third place.

Mazda CX-5: 1,586 cars
Preferential policies and discounts from manufacturers and distributors help Mazda CX-5 continue to become one of the best-selling gasoline-powered car models in the Vietnamese market. 1,586 Mazda CX-5 cars were delivered to customers in July 2025, an increase of 86 cars, thereby raising cumulative sales after 7 months to 8,970 cars.

Mitsubishi Xpander: 1,553 cars
With 1,553 vehicles sold in July 2025, a decrease of 171 vehicles compared to June 2025, Mitsubishi Xpander lost its leading position to Ford Ranger and fell to 3rd place in the top best-selling gasoline and diesel cars in July 2025. Increased competitive pressure in the market has caused Mitsubishi Xpander's sales to no longer grow as strongly as in previous years.

Toyota Yaris Cross: 1,259 cars
Despite the increasing pressure in the B-class Crossover segment, Toyota Yaris Cross is still one of the most popular names. For the fifth consecutive month, Toyota Yaris Cross has appeared in the list of 10 best-selling gasoline cars in Vietnam. Sales of this B-class Crossover model reached 1,259 vehicles, an increase of 109 vehicles compared to the previous month.

Toyota Vios: 1,213 cars
Vios is the second most popular Toyota model in Vietnam, after Yaris Cross in recent months. Toyota Vios achieved sales of 1,213 vehicles in July 2025, an increase of 154 vehicles compared to June. The preferential discount policy equivalent to 50% support for registration fees that Toyota Vietnam persistently applied helped Toyota Vios create a sales advantage over its competitors.

Mitsubishi Xforce: 1,185 vehicles
Along with Xpander, Mitsubishi Xforce is also in the top best-selling cars, however, compared to the previous month, the number of Xforce cars sold in July 2025 only reached 1,185 cars, a decrease of 246 cars compared to the previous month. The compact, fashionable design along with a series of technology features and an accessible price are factors that help Xforce attract customers.

Honda City: 1,181 cars
Honda City has just returned to the race of 10 best-selling cars in July 2025 with sales reaching 1,181 vehicles, an increase of 862 vehicles compared to June 2025. This is the only Honda model on this list, thanks to the company's policy of reducing registration fees and many incentive programs.

Ford Everest: 1,089 cars
Ford's 7-seat SUV sold 1,089 vehicles in July 2025, down 33 vehicles from the previous month. This result brought Everest's sales after 7 months of 2025 to 6,223 vehicles. This is also the only representative of the 7-seat SUV segment to appear in the top best-selling vehicles of the month.

Ford Territory: 925 cars
For the second consecutive month, Ford Territory sales decreased. Accordingly, only 925 cars were delivered to customers in July 2025, a decrease of 184 cars compared to June. In August 2025, Ford Territory also launched a new version in Vietnam and is expected to "explode" in sales in the following months.

Toyota Corolla Cross: 841 cars
Along with Vios and Yaris Cross, Toyota Corolla Cross is the third Toyota model to appear on this list. Accordingly, in July 2025, Toyota Corolla Cross sales reached 841 vehicles, an increase of 35 vehicles compared to the previous month. This is also a model with quite steady sales for many months of 2025.

Summarizing the top 10 best-selling gasoline cars in July 2025, Ford and Toyota each contributed 3 models, Mitsubishi had 2, and Mazda and Honda each had only 1. Meanwhile, the two Korean brands Hyundai and KIA surprisingly had no models on this list.
