Travel companies report that with the announced holiday period, many have boldly launched specialized domestic and international tour packages, which is also a trend for Tet travel this year. From the beginning of October, Saigontourist Travel has already launched Tet holiday tour programs for the Year of the Snake 2025. The company is offering discounts of up to 10 million VND on international tours for customers who book 2-3 months in advance. According to a representative from Saigontourist Travel, tourists usually choose the most auspicious departure date as the 2nd day of Tet. Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hoai Nguyen, General Director of Benthanh Tourist, said that the company's Lunar New Year 2025 tour was designed based on the results of a survey of more than 42,000 customers about the most anticipated destinations in 2025. Accordingly, the top 10 favorite destinations in 2025 include names familiar to the Vietnamese market such as Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Thailand, Singapore...
Based on this list, the company is developing many new tour routes, adding more attractive attractions and experiences to better meet customers' needs for spring travel. "Depending on the route and departure time, the prices of Lunar New Year 2025 tours will increase from 4 - 23% compared to normal days. With a 9-day Tet holiday, it is expected that long-distance tours will be the preferred choice for customers," Mr. Nguyen said. Ms. Tran Thi Bao Thu, Director of Marketing and Communications at Vietluxtour Company, also believes that Tet tour prices will maintain an increase of about 5 - 15% compared to normal prices, depending on the route. This company has prepared its year-end business plan quite early, from the end of the second quarter of 2024, to secure a series of tickets and services with good departure times and prices. "We are currently finalizing many group tour contracts for year-end travel programs for various businesses and are entering the peak inbound tourism season in target markets such as Europe, Australia, the US, and Northeast Asia... We expect a growth rate of approximately 20-25% compared to the same period last year in these markets," Ms. Thu said. With Tet holiday tour prices expected to increase compared to the same period last year, travel companies are also diversifying their mid-range tour packages, such as Japan tours starting from 27 million VND, and South Korea tours from 19 million VND... Overseas tours to Thailand and Singapore, which are familiar to young people during Tet as a self-guided option, will be designed to allow families to spend more quality time together, priced from 15 million VND... Meanwhile, domestic tours are more selective and are being sold cautiously due to high airfare prices and weather conditions in some areas.
