Accordingly, the new Toyota Grand Highlander 2026 will be added with the optional “black badge overlay” exterior package, which is a black decorative detail exclusively for the hybrid version of the Nightshade Edition line. Styling highlights include a black badge on the Hybrid Nightshade version or a metallic gray grille on the Hybrid MAX (only available on the Grand Highlander 2026).

The front of the 2026 Grand Highlander stands out with a hood and trapezoidal grille that narrows to a hammer-shaped nose, and the front wheel arches are widened to enhance the confident look. The side of the car has square lines with black side panels, a flat roofline, and a rear spoiler.

The rear end is impressive with taillights extending to both sides, the rear bumper creates a sense of width. The Hybrid MAX version has additional dual exhaust pipes and a unique silver painted bumper accent. The rear doors have a large opening angle for easy access to the third row of seats. Two-tone 20-inch wheels (depending on the version).

The interior features a dashboard that sits on a wood-effect trim (optional), extending into the door trim, with seamlessly integrated function trays. The dashboard flows into the door trim to emphasise the width of the cockpit, and the centre console features independent armrests for driver and passenger. The stitching exudes sophistication and modernity.

Whether in the driver's seat or in the third row, the Grand Highlander is ready to go. The innovative TNGA-K platform with a front/rear track width of 1,714/1,724 mm and a wheelbase of 2,946 mm delivers confident handling and surprising interior space.

The highlight of the Grand Highlander is the third row of seats with 8,509 mm of legroom and spacious headroom, providing impressive space. When the rear seats are folded flat, the car has a luggage compartment capacity of 2,760 L. Even with 3 rows of seats, the trunk space is still enough to accommodate 7 carry-on suitcases.

The cabin offers a relaxing atmosphere thanks to standard acoustic glass on the windshield and front windows, noise-reducing materials. A 12.3-inch touchscreen, 3-zone automatic climate control with second- and third-row vents, and 7 USB-C charging ports add a premium feel.

Powering the car are still familiar options. The standard version is equipped with a 2.4L turbocharged gasoline engine, producing 265 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. The hybrid version combines a 2.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine with an electric motor, creating a total capacity of 245 horsepower.

Meanwhile, the top-of-the-line Hybrid Max version is more powerful with a 2.4L turbocharged engine combined with a small electric battery and a rear-mounted electric motor, delivering a maximum capacity of 362 horsepower and torque of 542 Nm, using a full-time AWD drive system. This is also the high-performance version in the Grand Highlander line.

In terms of safety equipment, the 2026 Grand Highlander has the Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 technology package with features such as: adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, blind spot warning, rear cross traffic alert, automatic emergency braking and pedestrian recognition.

All versions of the 2026 Toyota Grand Highlander have a suggested retail price increase of $500 (about 13 million VND) compared to the previous version. The price of the car will range from $41,360 - 55,190 (1.08 - 1.44 billion VND). The car will officially be available at dealers in the US from this fall.
