Dong Hoi City: Over 1,000 students take part in the excellent student competition for the 2023-2024 school year

(QBĐT) - On April 25, at Nam Ly Secondary School No. 1, the Departmentof Education and Training of Dong Hoi City organized an excellent student exam for grades 6, 7, and 8 for the 2023-2024 school year.

Candidates attend the opening ceremony of the city-level excellent student exam for grades 6, 7, and 8.

Participating in this year's exam are over 1,000 candidates in grades 6, 7, and 8 selected from students of 17 secondary, primary and secondary schools in the city and Chu Van An Secondary and High School.

The exam takes place over one day. Grade 6 and 7 students take 3 subjects: Literature, Math, English; Grade 8 students take 9 subjects, including: Literature, Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, English and Information Technology.

Head of the Department of Education and Training of Dong Hoi City, Ho Thanh Hai, said: The exam for excellent students in grades 6, 7, and 8 is an important educational activity, which is meaningful in evaluating the teaching and learning work of schools, thereby investing in the quality of key excellent students in the following school years.

This is also an opportunity for candidates to exchange and learn, affirming their abilities; at the same time, the Department of Education and Training of Dong Hoi City will have the basis to select 8th grade students with high results in subjects to join the selection team, continue to train and participate in the provincial-level 9th grade excellent student competition for the 2024-2025 school year.
