According to reports, dense fog appeared in most districts and communes of Ho Chi Minh City, covering high-rise buildings and residential areas. This phenomenon was particularly intense in areas along rivers and canals.
According to the Southern Vietnam Regional Meteorological and Hydrological Station, Ho Chi Minh City has experienced rain and high humidity in recent days. In addition, weak winds have retained moisture in the lower atmosphere, combined with airborne dust particles, causing them to condense into fog.
Fog covered everything.
Coinciding with the appearance of this fog, an international air quality monitoring organization warned of severe air pollution levels in the country's largest city.
Accordingly, many areas in the city have air quality monitoring points marked in red (harmful to health). These monitoring points are located in Thu Duc City, as well as Binh Tan, Go Vap districts and Binh Chanh, Hoc Mon districts, etc.
Today, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts cloudy weather with scattered showers and thunderstorms in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region. The lowest temperature will be between 23-26 degrees Celsius, and the highest between 31-34 degrees Celsius.
Forecasts indicate that in the late afternoon and evening of the same day, Southern Vietnam will experience showers and thunderstorms, with localized moderate to heavy rainfall of 10-30mm, and in some places over 60mm.
