On October 10, Ho Chi Minh City simultaneously started and inaugurated two large-scale projects and several other projects to celebrate the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

Specifically, the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Palace Project started construction at functional area number 5, Thu Thiem New Urban Area (An Khanh ward).

The project has a total area of ​​39,911 m² with a scale of 10 floors, designed in a modern, multi-functional style, meeting the learning, playing and living needs of children in the City.

The total investment of the project is 1,124 billion VND from the Ho Chi Minh City budget.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, emphasized that the Ho Chi Minh City Children's Palace Project will be a creative space, nurturing dreams and ambitions for the future owners of the country, demonstrating sustainable investment for the future of the City.

On the same day, Ho Chi Minh City officially inaugurated Cu Chi Regional General Hospital (Tan An Hoi commune).

The hospital has 13 floors above ground and 1 basement, with synchronous investment in examination, treatment, inpatient, technical, professional blocks and many auxiliary items.

Total investment capital of the Project is 1,854 billion VND from the City budget.

Cu Chi Regional General Hospital is spacious and modern.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, emphasized that the inauguration of the Cu Chi Regional General Hospital will contribute to improving the quality of health care for people in the old Cu Chi district and neighboring localities. At the same time, it will reduce the load on the final level hospitals in the city center.

“Investing in developing new hospitals at the city’s gateways is a specific solution to implement Resolution 72-NQ/TW of the Central Committee on strengthening the protection, care and improvement of people’s health,” Ms. Tuyet emphasized.

Also on October 10, An Khanh Ward People's Committee started the project to dredge Da Do canal (from Nguyen Hoang street to Saigon river).

The project will invest in items including: dredging 1.7 km of canal, building 1.5 km of embankment on both banks, installing a drainage system and building a road along the canal.

The project has a total investment of VND86.7 billion and is expected to be completed in 2026.
