Building must be stronger than fighting.
Ms. Pham Khanh Phong Lan, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Food Safety, said that the Department is coordinating the management and connection of safe agricultural products and food consumption with 15 provinces and cities, of which Lam Dong alone supplies 90% of the total output of the vegetable, fruit and root chain and 6.97% of the total output of the pork chain for Ho Chi Minh City. That is the reason why the Department chose Lam Dong as the first province to summarize the cooperation process, and continue to coordinate the management and connection of agricultural product consumption in the coming years.
According to Ms. Lan, recently the press has reflected on the fight against counterfeit and poor quality goods more than on good and quality goods. In reality, there are many safe product chains that need to be promoted and reflected by the press to be spread more widely. "We need to build a stronger fight so that consumers know about quality and safe products," Ms. Lan said.
The Department of Food Safety of Ho Chi Minh City requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Lam Dong province to guide agricultural production establishments to periodically report on output and types consumed in Ho Chi Minh City; organize food safety supervision for products produced in Lam Dong province consumed in Ho Chi Minh City. The Department of Food Safety continues to organize the reception and issuance of certificates of eligibility to participate in the "safe food chain" according to the regulations on granting and revoking certificates issued by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for participating production establishments of Lam Dong province.
