Ho Chi Minh City gives hundreds of gifts to disadvantaged families

(Dan sinh) - The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just coordinated with sponsors to give gifts to poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in the city.

Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, hoped that in the coming time, the sponsoring unit would continue to spread good deeds to build a better society.

At the program, the Organizing Committee presented 100 gifts worth 140 million VND to households in difficult circumstances, each gift including 500,000 VND in cash and gifts worth 900,000 VND.

Previously, on August 25, to celebrate the 9th Congress of Ho Chi Minh City Catholics for National Construction and Defense, term 2023 - 2028; The Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the City Catholic Solidarity Committee (CSD) jointly organized a gift-giving ceremony for disadvantaged Catholics in the city.

Here, the City leaders attending the ceremony directly visited and presented gifts to 100 Catholic households in the City, each gift worth 1,000,000 VND.
