On the evening of March 23, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation jointly organized a Lights-Out Event Night in response to the Earth Hour campaign in 2024 at the City Youth Cultural House.
At exactly 8:30 p.m., the 10-second countdown to turn off the lights at the event night was held. Not only within the program venue, but also businesses, households, apartments... in the surrounding area simultaneously turned off unnecessary power sources that did not affect public transportation for one hour to respond to the program. Hundreds of candles were lit by young people as a hope for a bright future for the Earth.
Miss H'Hen Niê, Ambassador of the Earth Hour 2024 campaign, shared: "The Earth Hour campaign is a meaningful campaign, aiming to spread many positive values. H'Hen Niê hopes that through this campaign, love for the environment and the earth will be spread to more people. Hopefully in the future, everyone will join hands to protect the environment, creating many positive values."
