Teachers and staff of Chu Van An Secondary School (Cam Pha ward) participated in a training course on AI application in management and teaching organized by the Department of Education and Training.
To concretize Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, ahead of the 2025-2026 school year, the Department of Education and Training organized 14 training sessions on the application of AI in management and teaching at educational institutions in the province (in July and August 2025). Through these training sessions, over 6,000 officials and teachers throughout the sector, from preschool to high school, have enhanced their awareness of the important role of artificial intelligence in the fundamental and comprehensive reform of education and training, contributing to changing mindsets and promoting a spirit of learning and innovation throughout the sector.
Here, the Department also provided school administrators with knowledge on the application of AI in school management and administration: guidance on using AI to support planning, organizing teaching activities, assessment, and analyzing educational data… Along with that, it fostered digital and artificial intelligence skills for teachers in designing electronic lesson plans, building digital learning materials, and online question banks, aiming towards active and modern teaching methods and accessing new educational trends worldwide.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bac, Principal of Chu Van An Secondary School (Cam Pha Ward), said: "We found the training content practical, closely aligned with the realities of educational management and teaching activities at each school, ensuring it was up-to-date, scientific , and modern, in line with the trend of applying artificial intelligence in education. For our school, since September 17th, the subject departments have been teaching using a unified method based on the Active Learning approach combined with the use of AI to improve the quality of lessons."
By 2030, Chu Van An Secondary School aims to achieve the following goals: 100% of its management staff will be capable of applying AI in school management, administration, and governance; 100% of teachers will know and use AI to support teaching and student assessment; 60% of teachers will be able to design AI-based teaching content and integrate AI into digital lessons; and 100% of teachers will implement active teaching methods, online teaching, blended learning, and online testing and assessment on digital platforms.
Teachers and staff of Chu Van An Secondary School (Cam Pha ward) participated in a professional development session on active learning methods combined with the use of AI to improve the quality of lessons.
It is known that for the 2025-2026 school year, the Ministry of Education and Training has directed secondary schools to strengthen the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data in management and teaching; promote the automation of administrative work, electronic record keeping, timetables, professional assignments, facility management, and reduce the workload for staff and teachers. Along with that, effectively exploiting and using AI in career counseling, personalized learning, identifying students in need of support, and policy evaluation will contribute to improving the quality of education and the effectiveness of school management.
Currently, the education sector has not yet introduced AI as a separate subject in primary, secondary, and high schools, but rather integrated it into the existing curriculum. At the primary level, AI is mainly introduced through experiential activities, basic programming, and robotics. At the secondary level, students learn AI through Computer Science and STEM projects. At the high school level, more advanced topics such as machine learning, data, and digital security are implemented.
In Quang Ninh province, on September 8, 2025, the Department of Education and Training issued Plan No. 2378/KH-SGDĐT on the implementation of the Digital Competency Framework for high school students and continuing education learners. Accordingly, the Department requires each educational institution to organize at least one experiential activity, one digital technology club, or one scientific research project per academic year for students; and to organize enhanced experiential activities, STEM/STEAM programs, and learning projects related to artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), virtual reality (VR), and information security, appropriate to the age group and local conditions.
To date, 100% of general education institutions in the province have integrated digital transformation content into their educational programs; over 86% of teachers and over 40% of students have the necessary equipment, internet access, and software to effectively participate in online teaching and learning activities. The entire education sector has built a shared learning resource library for the province with over 2,000 learning materials and nearly 5,000 video lectures. This provides a foundation for the entire sector to effectively apply AI (artificial intelligence) in teaching and learning.
