According to Mr. Loc, Ho Chi Minh City is one of the localities that has seriously implemented Resolution 72 of the Politburo , achieving 100% implementation in public health facilities; electronic medical records have been linked with the electronic health records of citizens. This is an important foundation for developing a modern and smart healthcare system. The Ho Chi Minh City health sector has clearly demonstrated its commitment and dedication to the cause of protecting, caring for, and improving the health of the people.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, extended New Year greetings to the staff of the Ho Chi Minh City health sector.
The city's overarching policy is to increase comprehensive healthcare coverage, ensuring that all citizens have access to high-quality healthcare services.
The Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized that the health sector comprises three main pillars: preventive medicine, curative medicine, and supply-side healthcare. Over the past period, Ho Chi Minh City's health sector has made significant progress in all three areas.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc further shared that, in the coming time, the city aims to develop a system of satellite hospitals not only to reduce the burden on higher-level hospitals, but also to ensure that these satellite hospitals are ready to switch functions in the event of major disasters or epidemics. At the same time, the city will arrange for health stations and medical centers to be closely linked with large hospitals and tertiary hospitals, to make medical examinations, treatment, referrals, and professional support more efficient.
Associate Professor, Doctor Tang Chi Thuong - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, said that he recently received the conclusion of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, which basically agreed with the project to train young talents in the health sector through the form of residency training for doctors.
This project has been developed by the city's health sector over the past year, with input from relevant departments and agencies, and has been finalized for submission to the competent authorities for consideration.

Associate Professor, Doctor Tang Chi Thuong - Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health, shared this at the ceremony.
According to the conclusions of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the principle of implementing the project was agreed upon, and further submissions were requested for the issuance of appropriate mechanisms and policies.
Previously, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee had commissioned the health sector to develop a plan for training young talents to report to the leaders of Ho Chi Minh City, in which the training of resident doctors was identified as a key direction.
"These are doctors who have been rigorously selected, possess high professional competence, have received in-depth training, and are expected to take on advanced techniques as well as leadership and management positions in healthcare in the future," Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tang Chi Thuong emphasized.
The Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health expressed his delight upon learning that, according to the new policy, resident doctors will have their training fully funded by Ho Chi Minh City, eliminating the need for them to pay tuition fees themselves as before, and will also benefit from many other preferential policies and allowances.
