At the meeting, the ward leaders reported on the preparations for the congress, clearly stating the results achieved, difficulties in personnel work, as well as the operation of the Public Administration Service Center after one month of operation. At the same time, the wards also presented the key targets and tasks in the fields of: economic - urban - environmental development, culture - society, national defense - security, administrative reform and Party building.
Concluding the working session, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi highly appreciated the proactive and responsible spirit of localities in preparing for the congress and operating the two-level urban government model. He emphasized that the content of the congress documents must closely follow the functions, tasks and practical characteristics of each locality; ensure generality, brevity, conciseness, high actionability, and at the same time fully reflect the content as required.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee noted that the reports submitted to the congress need to deeply evaluate the implementation of the policies of the Central Government and Ho Chi Minh City, especially on the arrangement of the apparatus, administrative reform, public investment after merging administrative units, Party building and development of Ho Chi Minh cultural space at the grassroots level.
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi also suggested many important directions for localities to add to the congress documents. In particular, he analyzed in depth the characteristics of each locality to clearly identify the goals, tasks, and key solutions in areas such as institutional breakthroughs, development of science and technology - innovation, planning work... In particular, he noted that each locality must take advantage of advantages and opportunities to have new development space.
Regarding the direction of building goals for the next term, he suggested that localities set specific, quantitative, and combative targets as a driving force for implementation. The targets set must ensure feasibility, be suitable to actual conditions, ensure comprehensive socio-economic development, and improve the quality of people in the wards.
Regarding personnel work, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee affirmed that Ho Chi Minh City pays great attention to planning, training and fostering the staff, especially the staff at the grassroots level. Ho Chi Minh City will continue to organize training courses to improve the capacity of the staff at the grassroots level to perform well the assigned tasks, serving the people better and better.
Comrade Nguyen Thanh Nghi believes that the team of cadres, civil servants and public employees will continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, dedication and devotion in their work, serving the people and businesses better and better.
