Ho Chi Minh City will organize fireworks and hot air balloon releases to celebrate September 2nd.

On the afternoon of August 17, at a press conference on socio -economic issues of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Lam Ngo Hoang Anh - Chief of Office of the Department of Culture and Sports informed about the plan to organize events to celebrate the National Day on September 2 this year.

According to Mr. Anh, the City Command has sent a document to advise the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on the scenario for organizing artistic fireworks displays.

According to the script, fireworks will be launched for 15 minutes, from 9:00 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. on September 2. The Command is currently waiting for approval from the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.

In addition, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City has advised the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to approve the organization of hot air balloon releases. The event is scheduled to be held on September 2 and 3 on Nguyen Thien Thanh Street in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area (Thu Duc City).

A special art program will be held from 8:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on September 2 at Nguyen Hue walking street (District 1).

Also at the press conference, Mr. Dang Quoc Toan - Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that he will organize for tourists and groups to visit the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on September 1 and 2.

The Office of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism also met and agreed to organize regular tours of the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City on the last Saturday and Sunday of the month.

During the recent April 30 and May 1 holidays, the headquarters of the People's Council and People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City welcomed more than 50 delegations with nearly 1,500 domestic and international visitors.
