• Kitchen of love
  • Ms. Nguyen Kieu Phuong and "Zero-dong Kitchen" support the needy
  • "Zero-dong booth" gives 200 gifts to patients

Founded in 2020 from the passion of a group of compassionate elderly people, the " Love " Club (CLB) has gradually developed into a volunteer organization with more than 70 members. Club members come from all walks of life and ages, from farmers, retired officials, the elderly, women to youth union members and students. Although their family circumstances and living conditions are different, they share the same desire to share.

Share meals and spread love to the poor.

With the above meaningful humanitarian work, the Fatherland Front of Vinh Loc commune and the Women's Union of Vinh Loc commune jointly officially established the "Love" Club to create conditions for charitable activities to spread more sustainably. Immediately after its official establishment, the Club actively operated, becoming a support for poor patients, people in difficult circumstances and a place to send love to benefactors and philanthropists near and far.

Leaders of the Fatherland Front of Vinh Loc commune and members of the "Love" Club gave meals to people.

Every month, the Club organizes 4-6 volunteer cooking sessions. The menu consists of simple but warm dishes, sometimes rice, vegetarian noodles, sometimes banh tet, banh la dua. On average, each time, the Club prepares 250-350 meals to give to lonely elderly people, lottery ticket sellers, motorbike taxi drivers and students who have to travel long distances to school. In particular, the Club coordinates with the Social Work Team of the Hong Dan Regional Medical Center to deliver meals to poor patients, the elderly, and ethnic minorities in difficult circumstances who are being treated.

Many club members are busy preparing meals for the needy.

Without fanfare or noise, the members of the club still quietly contribute their efforts and money every day. For example, Mrs. Lai Thi Phuong, 72 years old, still regularly deducts her pension to cook for the poor. Her whole family, from her husband to her daughter-in-law, volunteered to participate, cooking together, transporting meals by motorbike to distribute to the poor and students.

“It has become a habit that every time the club announces the fire, everyone gathers together, cooks and chats happily. When finished, we divide the food into portions and ride motorbikes about 6 km to Hong Dan Regional Medical Center to give to poor patients and those in difficult circumstances who are being treated,” Ms. Phuong shared.

Also one of the first members of the Club, Mr. and Mrs. Tran Hoang Giang - Vo Thi Hai (Lo Xe A hamlet, Vinh Loc commune) did not mind the sun or rain, with meals hanging on their car, to share with those in need.

Mr. and Mrs. Tran Hoang Giang - Vo Thi Hai actively support the charity kitchen.

The story of Ms. Thi Nau, a diabetic patient treated at the Hong Dan Regional Medical Center, is one of the examples of this humanistic value. “The charity meals not only help me reduce my financial worries but also make me feel encouraged and motivated to overcome my illness,” Ms. Nau said emotionally.

The practical work of the Club has become a bright spot in the local social security work, attracting more and more benefactors from near and far to join and contribute. Since its inception, the “Love” Club has given away more than 60,000 free meals, contributing to spreading love and kindness in the community.

Deliver meals to patients' relatives.

From the active participation of the Fatherland Front of Vinh Loc commune and the Front Working Committee of the hamlet, to the contribution of each person, this model is gradually affirming its role in building a united and affectionate community. In the midst of a life full of hardships, hot meals from the "Love" kitchen are not only meals but also sharing, humanity, and motivation for the disadvantaged to have more faith in life.
