Bai Tu Long Bay is a beautiful island area, featuring a system of large and small islands, pristine beaches and precious nature reserves, associated with historical and cultural values of the islands. In particular, Bai Tu Long National Park, recognized as an ASEAN Heritage Park, is one of the bright spots in Vietnam's nature conservation work. Therefore, Bai Tu Long Bay is an ideal place to develop types of ecotourism, nature exploration, and community tourism. To date, Bai Tu Long Bay has welcomed nearly 1,500 visitors to visit and experience, especially increasing during peak weekends.

Currently, along with the addition of a number of new tourist attractions on Bai Tu Long Bay, such as Cai Lim Island, Minh Chau Island Communes, Ban Sen Island..., from March 2025, Quang Ninh Province has announced 10 itineraries on Bai Tu Long Bay and 3 itineraries connecting Ha Long Bay - Bai Tu Long Bay. Tourists depart from Ao Tien International Port to visit places such as Phat Co Cave, pearl farming area (Hon Da Den), Lao Vong sluice, Hon Dua, Minh Chau Island, Cai Lim Beach, Cua Ong, Reu Island, Quan Lan Island... The opening of new itineraries aims to create more tourism products, reduce the burden on Ha Long Bay, and at the same time promote economic development in the Northeast region of Vietnam.

However, up to now, many destinations are still in the process of completion, not yet included in the tour itinerary, making many tourists regret when coming to Bai Tu Long Bay. Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung (tour guide of Hanoi Tourist Company) said: I highly appreciate the potential of Bai Tu Long Bay, currently the itineraries to Van Don all exploit the route to visit this bay along with resorts and spiritual tourism. Tourists also hope that the units will exploit the destinations on the tour to Bai Tu Long Bay to the fullest so that they can explore and experience more interesting activities here.

Bai Tu Long Bay is located in the potential tourism development space of Van Don Special Zone with a well-invested transportation system from road, sea and air to develop tourism. Together with the accommodation system with large, high-class resort complexes, it has formed a series of synchronous and attractive tourism products.

It is known that by the end of 2025, Quang Ninh will continue to develop more accommodation and overnight products on Bai Tu Long Bay and experience in new areas to create development space between the bays and other areas in the province. In addition, expand international promotion and attract investment in ports, tourism services, promote landscape and ecosystem protection, and ensure sustainable development.
